GREAT MEMBERSHIP DEAL FOR STUDENTS!

To ALL undergraduate and graduate STUDENT members who will be entering the teaching field next year: CEC and DDD (Division on Developmental Disabilities) are offering a special membership rate to current students who will be entering the teaching field next year. From April 1, 2007 to June 30, 2007, any student may renew membership with CEC and DDD at the current student rate for the coming year. Your dues will not increase until your 2008 renewal date. This is a great time to renew if you are a student member!

Benefits

Subscriptions to:

  • Education and Training in  Developmental Disabilities (ETDD) - A professional journal; published four times a year.
  • Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities - A professional journal published by PRO-ED; published four times a year.
  • DDD Express - Our member newsletter; published three time per year.
  • Position Papers developed by DDD to address the critical issues in the field, i.e., inclusion, program development, assessment.

DDD also publishes and distributes a number of practitioner oriented  books and monographs on mental retardation and developmental disabilities, including the Prism series.

Individuals who join The Council For Exceptional Children (CEC) and The Division on Developmental Disabilities (DDD) gain access to a variety of resources.  Benefits for CEC members who also join DDD include participation in:

  • Conferences and Conventions - DDD sponsors a variety of sessions at the CEC International Conference. Members are encouraged to submit proposals and make program suggestions.
  • DDD also sponsors a biennial conference with focus on research, trends, and educational practices.  Members are encouraged to get involved!

DDD has more than 23 state and provincial federation subdivisions that offer local activities, conferences, workshops, and newsletters. DDD membership is the most cost-effective way to boost your professional skills and become a better, more informed practitioner.
